COVID-19 Information

Throughout the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) health crisis, Johnson & Johnson has been focused on ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of employees and the global community. As your health plan sponsor, the Company has requested that you be notified of changes in COVID-19 health care coverage.

For those enrolled in an Aetna medical plan, with some of the special COVID-19 rules for health plans set to expire, certain standard provisions were effective as of January 1, 2022.

Telemedicine visits
In-network telemedicine visits are no longer covered at 100% and will be subject to standard plan provisions for cost-sharing (deductibles, copayments, etc.).

COVID-19 treatment
COVID-19 treatment is no longer covered at 100% and will also be subject to standard plan provisions for cost-sharing (deductibles, copayments, etc.).

COVID-19 testing
COVID-19 testing will continue to be covered at 100% until the end of the Public Health Emergency, which is currently April 16, 2022 (may be extended by the government).

COVID-19 vaccines and boosters
COVID-19 vaccines and boosters will continue to be covered at 100%.
